On scout view: left hilar opacity not silhouetting the aorta or heart and make an obtuse angle with lung, suggestive of mediastinal origin.
On pulmonary angiogram:
- The left main pulmonary artery shows aneurysmal dilatation with no filling defect, in keeping with the pulmonary arterial aneurysm.
- Multiple filling defects are seen in the segmental arteries of a right lower lung lobe, in keeping with pulmonary embolism.
- The main pulmonary trunk and right main pulmonary arteries are normal in diameter.
- The aorta shows few calcified atheromas with no aneurysmal dilatation.
