Subcortical heterotopia

Presentation

Recurrent attacks and headache, diplopia and seizures.

Patient Data

Age: 20 years
Gender: Male
mri

Nodular heterotipic grey matter is seen within the white matter of the posterior aspect of right temporal as well as occipital lobes which appears continuous with the cortex and indenting the occipital horn of right lateral ventricle. There is slight volume loss of the affected lobe as compared to the other side. The basal ganglia and corpus callosum appear unremarkable.
