Presentation
Sudden onset pelvic pain and history of warfarin used in a valvular heart disease.
Patient Data
There is an 8 x 10 x 12 cm large left-sided adnexal mass that displays complex signal characteristics of hemorrhage (high signal rim on T1 with low signal center at the T1 and T2 sequences) as the chronic stage at the center and subacute peripherally.
Dilatation of the left fallopian tube with 15 mm diameter also is seen next to the mentioned mass.
The right ovary is not seen (history of right-sided oophorectomy).
Mild fluid signal also is seen at Douglas pouch.
Case Discussion
The recent patient had a history of valvular heart disease and long-term anticoagulant therapy (warfarin) with sudden onset severe pelvic pain.
Regarding the imaging findings, The cyst displays signal according to the stage of hemorrhage.
