Oblique fracture of the distal fibula above the level of distal tibiofibular syndesmosis is noted with foreshortening and posterior displacement of the distal fracture fragment. Fracture of the medial malleolus is also noted with its anterior displacement. Also, note the lateral talar tilt with the widening of medial clear space.

Weber C fractures are further subclassified as:

  • C1: simple diaphyseal fracture of the fibula
  • C2: complex diaphyseal fracture of the fibula
  • C3: proximal fracture of the fibula
