Hyperintensity centred on the distal aspect of the proximal myotendinous junction of the biceps femoris with less than 10% cross-sectional involvement and approximately 10 cm of craniocaudal involvement. Distally there is a small volume of myofascial fluid. No involvement of the proximal free tendon.
Elsewhere, there is patchy muscle belly hyperintensity involving the proximal rectus femoris, quadratus femoris, proximal vastus lateralis and medialis, and mid semimembranosus.
