Multiple uterine leiomyomas

Presentation

Primary infertility.

Patient Data

Age: 35 years
Gender: Female
mri

The uterus is diffusely enlarged with multiple intramural, and subserosal leiomyomas of various sizes. The largest leiomyomas are subserosal pedunculated of right corporeal (8.5 x 6.5 x 5 cm), and fundal left lateral (13.5 x 9.5 x 8 cm) location. They show a low to intermediate signal intensity on T1WI, low signal intensity on T2WI with central areas of high signal within the left largest leiomyoma (cystic degeneration). The postcontrast sequences demonstrate moderate and heterogeneous enhancement.

A mild free intraperitoneal effusion is noted.

Both ovaries appear normal with small follicles
