Focal prominence of the posterior CSF space at the D4-5 level with the preservation of normal CSF flow artefact. Mild compression of the cord at this level with ventral displacement. No obvious signal changes in the cord.
Cystic lesion, measuring 9 x 18 mm along the right D11-12 neural foramina causing its expansion and indenting the thecal sac on the right lateral aspect.
Marginal osteophytes are arising from vertebral bodies.
Case Discussion
Findings are consistent with a dorsal thoracic arachnoid web at the D4-5 level showing the 'scalpel sign'.
