Suboptimal timing of the examination, however, there are bilateral moderate volume emboli extending from the pulmonary trunk bifurcation to the subsegmental arteries of the right upper lobe, right middle lobe, right lower lobe and left lower lobe. Pulmonary trunk calibre is on the upper limits of normal. No other features of right heart strain.
Associated right lower lobe wedge-shaped subsegmental consolidation in keeping with pulmonary infarct/haemorrhage.
