Accessory MCA on the left side, arising of A1 segment of left ACA artery.
Case Discussion
The extra artery runs in the Sylvian fissure along left MCA, thus differentiating it from a distal middle striate artery (of Heubner).
The artery overlaps with the left anterior cerebral vein and left basal vein — may mimic fistulous communication.
