Anterior suprapatellar fat pad impingement syndrome

Hypertrophy with edematous infiltration of the anterior suprapatellar fat pad (quadriceps) with convex posterior margin and mass effect on the adjacent suprapetellar recess. Moderate associated joint effusion is noted.
Both menisci, collateral and cruciate ligaments are intact.
Case Discussion
Edema with hypertrophy and convex posterior margin of the anterior suprapatellar fat pad are the main MRI findings of the suprapatellar fat pad impingement syndrome.
