Presentation

G1P1. Ongoing painless per vaginal bleeding 5/52 post emergency cesarean section.

Patient Data

Age: 25 years
Gender: Female

Heterogenous tissue is identified at the fundus of the uterus, extending toward the left cornual region and extending into the myometrium. The tissue extends from the endometrial surface, through the myometrium and comes within 3mm of the serosa (see axial T2 small field of view: image 3). It measures approximately 3 x 2.5 x 5.1 cm.

Case Discussion

This case represents a case of placenta accreta in a prima-gravida, several weeks after an emergency cesarean section, in which it was noted that there was an adherent placenta.
