MRI demonstrating expansion of the splenium of the corpus callosum with low signal intensity on T1WI and heterogeneous high signal intensity on T2WI with areas of central necrosis. T1WI shows areas of hemorrhagic changes, and post-contrast images show peripheral enhancement and subependymal spread, that cross midline and extending to the biparietal lobes. The mass is surrounded by vasogenic edema and shows restricted diffusion.
Case Discussion
Histopathologic findings confirmed glioblastoma multiforme of the splenium of the corpus callosum. Heterogeneity of signal makes lymphoma less likely.
