Presentation
Multiple painless masses in her both breasts. She had regular menstruation. She had no nipple discharge and she hadn’t taken any oral contraceptives or other medication. The family history of breast cancer was unremarkable.
Patient Data
Numerous round to oval circumscribed well-defined mass lesions. There are no microcalcification or parenchymal distortion.
Axial plane, SE T1W, TIRM, postcontrast subtracted T1 W Fl3d dynamic sequences, demonstrate multiple cystic and contrast-enhancing well-defined smooth margin solid mass lesions.
Maximum intensity projection (MIP) reconstruction images showed dynamic contrast enhancement of the solid lesions
Case Discussion
Fibroadenoma (FA) is the most frequently seen benign breast tumor in young women of child-bearing age. Most of them present as a single mass but can be multiple lesions in 15-20% of patients. Multiple FA is defined as >3 fibroadenomas in one breast.
Numerous fibroadenomas and fibrocystic change disease together in our patient and trucut biopsy showed ‘fibrocystic disease, tubular adenoma and fibroadenoma (ICD-O; 0000/0)’.
