How can the patient be positioned to achieve a lateral view of the elbow?
The patient can be prone in a 'superman' position but with the leading arm flexed to 90 degrees. Alternatively, the patient can be sat next to the fluoroscopy table with their shoulder abducted and elbow placed on the table, flexed to 90 degrees.

The articular cartilage is intact and there is no evidence of a plica.
