Right-sided abdominal pain for the last 4 to 5 days. No fever/ vomiting/diarrhea.

Distal ileal diverticulitis

At the site of pain, there is an asymmetric thickening of the distal ileum. There is a hypoechoic outpouching from the thickened ileal wall. A tiny air focus is present in this hypoechoic area. Surrounding mesenteric fat is echogenic and odematous. There is no local abscess formation.
Cecum and appendix were normal.
Case Discussion
A male presented with right-sided abdominal pain for the last few days. Ultrasound shows distal ileal diverticulitis. Appendicitis which is a common diagnosis for right-sided abdominal was ruled out by ultrasound.
