Presentation

Presents with erythematous and painful left leg with fever.

Age: 4 years
Gender: Male

An infectious nidus of the left femoral neck with synovitis. Presence of periosteal reaction, sequestrum with surrounding soft tissue density likely an abscess formation.

Case Discussion

Acute hematogenous osteomyelitis of the left femur.

4 years old boy with erythematous and painful left leg with fever. A little infectious nidus of the left femoral neck and synovitis. Soft tissue densities (abscess), sequestrum and periosteal reaction.
