Left shoulder abnormality with elevation and reduced range of movement.

The scapula is elevated consistent with the diagnosis of Sprengel deformity.

The left scapula is high-riding with an accompanying omovertebral bar. The high riding scapula is known as Sprengel deformity.

Case Discussion

This case has an omovertebral bar that demonstrates continuity with the posterolateral elements of the cervical vertebra. These are present in approximately 50% of cases.
