Cleidocranial dysostosis

Presentation

Accentuated lumbar lordosis on clinical assessment. Pelvic x ray to assess for skeletal dysplasia.

Patient Data

Age: 5 years
Gender: Female
x-ray

Bilateral, symmetric coxa vara. Poor ossification of the pubic bodies and rami producing a widely spaced pubic symphysis. 

Case Discussion

The pelvic x ray findings are characteristic of cleidocranial dysostosis. The patient subsequently underwent bilateral valgising osteotomies to address the coxa vara.
