What is the differential diagnosis for a posterior element lesion?
Metastases, osteoid osteoma/osteoblastoma, aneurysmal bone cyst and giant cell tumour are the most frequent.
Thin slice axial CT images through the T12 vertebral body demonstrates a well circumscribed, 7mm lucent lesion within the left pedicle. There is a central nidus associated with this lesion with some mild surrounding sclerosis.
