Juvenile dermatomyositis (JDM)

Discussion:

In addition to the clinical and imaging data, the diagnosis was confirmed with a histopathological examination of subcutaneous tissue, which reported ossification accompanied by a mild mononuclear infiltrate.

Although this case represents an isolated radiological finding in striated muscle and left muscle skin (circumscribed calcinosis), under the clinical context, systemic pathology (dermatomyositis) should be considered, which can affect other regions and organs, especially the lungs.
