Presentation

Painful left clavicle swelling. No fever

Patient Data

Age: 15 years
Gender: Female

Expansile lesion of the medial part of left clavicle with a solid periosteal reaction. Some erosions of the left sternoclavicular joint.

Chronic recurrent multifocal osteomyelitis (CRMO) is an idiopathic inflammatory bone disorder seen primarily in children and adolescents. Clavicle involvement is a characteristic finding since this is an uncommon location for hematogenous osteomyelitis.
