The contrast CT abdomen images reveal edema and thickening of the jejunal and ileal loops involving ileocecal junction with a maximum thickness of about 6mm. Focal asymmetric wall thickening with mild loss of gut signature involving the midline jejunal loop for a length of 5.3cm and with a maximum wall thickness of about 10mm leading to mild to moderate luminal narrowing. A midline irregularly thick-walled collection with internal air focus was noted in the mesentery adjacent to the thickened jejunal loop. The lesion shows a maximum wall thickness of about 7mm. There is associated surrounding mesenteric inflammation suggesting mesenteric abscess formation.
