There is a bony avulsion of extensor digitorum brevis muscle from the superolateral surface of the calcaneus. There is another bony avulsion of the dorsal talonavicular ligament from the navicular bone. The ligament is thickened and shows continuity. There is no effusion in the anterior recess of the ankle. The anterior talofibular ligament, anterior inferior tibiofibular ligament and the calcaneofibular ligament are intact with normal fibrillary echopattern. The peroneal tendons show normal echopattern without tenosynovitis/ subluxation/ dislocation.
