Ultrasound - US-guided biopsy
Ultrasound-guided biopsy was performed. The optimal patient positioning was determined after multiple attempts and repositioning, with the safest window through a transverse right anterior abdominal approach, splitting the window between the colon and liver to target the mass, and accentuating this relatively narrow window by applying firm pressure with the transducer. The relationship of relevant structures can be seen on the planning cine window which was performed superior to inferior.
The biopsy cine shows the needle passing into the mass, successfully obtaining tissue for diagnosis.
