Presentation

Case of ureteric colic. There was an incidental finding.

Patient Data

Age: 55 years
Gender: Male
ultrasound

The superior mesenteric vein is anterior to the superior mesenteric artery. There is an absent colon on the right side of the abdomen. The ileocecal junction is on the left side of the umbilical region. The appendix shows normal diameter and compressibility.

There was left vesicoureteric junction calculus ( 5 mm ) with mild hydroureter (images not uploaded).

Case Discussion

The case of ureteric colic shows an incidental finding of intestinal malrotation. There was no history of recurrent abdominal pain.
