Case contributed by Naim Qaqish
Diagnosis certain

Presentation

Non-exertional shortness of breath.

Patient Data

Age: 65 years
Gender: Female

Chest

x-ray

Right-sided mastectomy and asymmetrical axillary folds.

Mixed attenuation round lesion mainly of soft tissue density is seen involving the right lower zone. Considering the patient's history of breast cancer, further characterization of the lesion using chest CT is advised.

Bilateral costophrenic angle blunting, more pronounced on the right side.

Calcified aortic knuckle with unfolding of the aorta.

Case Discussion

Hypertransradiant right hemithorax due to mastectomy. Unfortunately, the patient did not undergo a high-resolution chest CT to further evaluate the right lower zone opacity.
