Os peroneum

Aligned fracture of the base of the 5th metatarsal. Additional finding of an accessory ossicle located at the lateral plantar aspect of the cuboid on the path of the peroneus longus tendon (os peroneum).
Case Discussion
The os peroneum corresponds to a common anatomical variant and can be associated with the os peroneum syndrome, which leads to pain, local inflammation and can be associated with fractures.
