Transient small bowel intussusception

Presentation

Vomiting once or twice a day for the last few weeks. No abdominal pain.

Patient Data

Age: 5 years
Gender: Male

There is a small bowel intussusception in the right upper/ mid quadrant, measuring about 30 mm in length. There are no nodes within. It is not associated with dilatation of the proximal small bowel loops/ ascites.

Ileocecal junction is normal.

Ultrasound 3 hours later

There is no intussusception which was present in the previous scan.
