What is the diagnosis ?
There is non-bony calcaneo-navicular coalition of the right foot. There is non-bony talo-navicular and calcaneonavicular coalitions of the left foot.
Why is bilateral imaging needed in coalitions even if unilateral symptoms?
25% of cases are bilateral and coalitions can be asymptomatic.
What radiographic view may show middle facet talocalcaneal coalition?
Axial view of calcaneum
There is reduced space between calcaneum and navicular and talus and navicular. Both affected joints show irregular, broadened articular surfaces with sclerosis
