The MRI sequences demonstrate:
- a well-circumscribed broad-based left frontal parasagittal extra-axial mass (4.7 x 4 x 3.8 cm), isointense to the cortical grey matter on T1, T2, and FLAIR with no intralesional calcification or haemorrhage seen on GE. Homogeneous vivid enhancement on postcontrast sequences with dural tail sign. Surrounding vasogenic oedema with a mass effect on the midline structures and midline shift. A "CSF cleft sign" around the mass on coronal T2, indicating the extra-axial location of the mass.
- Signs of secondary intracranial hypertension
- vertical tortuosity of the optic nerves
- prominent subarachnoid space around the optic nerves
- intraocular protrusion of the optic nerve heads
- flattening of the posterior sclera
- enhancement of the prelaminar (intraocular) optic nerves
- enlarged Meckel cave
