There are avulsed bone flakes from the anterior process and anterior- superior surface of the calcaneum involving the insertion of the bifurcate ligament, extensor hallucis brevis, and extensor digitorum brevis muscles.
There is mild effusion in the anterior recess of the ankle joint. Anterior talofibular ligament and anterior inferior tibiofibular ligament show normal echopattern. The dorsal talonavicular ligament is intact, thickened with a linear bone flake which is likely due to old injury as there was no tenderness locally.
