There are diffuse enlargement with irregular pancreatic outline, obliterated peripancreatic fat and mild mesenteric edema. No sign of necrosis is observed.
The prostate gland is enlarged.
Mild degenerative changes as osteophytosis are seen at the lumbar spine.

The important role of CT scan in the context of an acute pancreatitis is evaluate possible complications such as necrosis, hemorrhage, infection, or vascular complications as pseudoaneurysm, and intra or peripancreatic collections.
