Presentation
Suspected foreign body aspiration with chronic cough for 4 months.
Patient Data
A linear structure is seen transversely located within the trachea, about 1 cm above the carina.
There are associated signs of right sided pulmonary infection in the form of multiple centrilobular micro-nodules with non evident tree-en-bud opacities and surrounding ground glass haziness . These changes are highly suggestive of small air way disease (mostly bronchiolitis).
Green arrows refer to the tracheal foreign body seen about 1 cm above the carina.
Case Discussion
Tracheoscope was done and the tracheal linear structure was found to be a pumpkin seed which was aspirated and neglected for 4 months.
