Lipoma of the filum terminale

Presentation

Low back pain radiating to the left lower limb.

Patient Data

Age: 45 years
Gender: Male
mri

There is a small linear lesion of the filum terminale extending from L2-L3 to L4-L5 level of fatty signal with signal loss on fat sat sequences. The conus is located at T12-L1 with appearance. 

Degenerative change of the lumbar spine with central disc prolapse at several levels (L3-L4 to L5-S1).
