Elongation of the colon is present particularly at descending and sigmoid portions accompanied by transverse colon ptosis.

Case Discussion

Dolichocolon is an elongation of the colon, usually the descending and sigmoid, resulting in flexures, loops, and kinks in the lumen of the gut. Dilatation of the affected segment may accompany this.
