Presentation

The patient had trauma by a heavy steel beam at work. On examination: there is pain and swelling over the right ring finger distal phalanx.

Patient Data

Age: 20 years
Gender: Male
x-ray

There is a fracture of the distal phalanx of the right ring finger.

Case Discussion

If there is any suspected fracture in the distal phalanx it must be checked in at least 2 views.

Distal phalanx fractures are the most common fractures in the hand.
