Extensive coarse calcifications are noted symmetrically involving basal ganglia, thalami, the infra- & supratentorial white matter and dentate nuclei as well as the cortex of both occipital lobes.

Case Discussion

Bilateral symmetrical dense calcifications in the dentate nuclei, basal ganglia, thalami, and subcortical white matter are pathognomonic of Fahr syndrome
