Diverticulosis (CT colonoscopy)

Presentation

Bowel screening program. Incomplete optical colonoscopy as unable to pass sigmoid diverticulosis.

Patient Data

Age: 60 years
Gender: Female

Tortuous sigmoid colon, with moderate quiescent diverticulosis, consistent with findings at optical colonoscopy.

Otherwise normal colon.

Case Discussion

An good demonstration of a near normal CT colonoscopy. Bowel preparation and carbon dioxide insufflation in this case has worked excellently, resulting in excellent distension and minimal fecal residue.
