Osteoid osteoma

Right hip pain.

Focal round lucent lesion is present within the center of the sclerotic portion of the lateral aspect of the proximal right femur, just below the greater trochanter suggestive for nidus of osteoid osteoma. 

Case Discussion

Features are compatible with osteoid osteoma which is a benign bone-forming tumor that typically occurs in children (particularly adolescents). They have a characteristic lucent nidus less than 1.5 or 2 cm and surrounding osteosclerotic reaction.
