MRI sequences demonstrate:
- complete callosal dysgenesis with parallel lateral ventricles "racing car sign" and dilatation of the occipital horns (colpocephaly)
- sunray appearance of the gyri on sagittal T1 sequence
- narrow frontal horns, high-riding 3rd ventricle, giving a "moose head appearance" on coronal T2
- widened mid-and anterior portions of the interhemispheric fissure
- absence of the cingulate sulcus
- cerebellar and vermian hypoplasia
Case Discussion
MRI features of a complete dysgenesis of the corpus callousm with associated cerebellar and vermian hypoplasia.
