Presentation

Focal geographic hyperreflective area in segment 5 of the liver on noncontrast US in a patient with remote history of malignancy.

Patient Data

Age: 70 years
Gender: Male

CEUS (SonoVue)

ultrasound

A circumscribed, non mass-like hyperreflective area is visible in segment 5 superficially, without any abnormal vascularity on MV-flow. 

Following the administration of contrast agent the lesion does not show any difference in enhancement compared to the rest of the parencyhma, and most importantly no lesion showing late phase washout can be discerned.
