Chronic cough.

Patient Data

Age: 30 years
Gender: Male
ct

Right lower lobe superior segment bronchocele is noted as filling of the peripheral bronchi with mucus in a branching pattern associated with the tree in bud pattern

Ground glass nodule is present at right lower lobe anterobasal segment

Ground glass opacity at the left upper lobe lingula segments could be due to platelike atelectasis.

Case Discussion

Bronchocele represents impacted mucoid secretions within the bronchial tree and can be obstructive or non-obstructive.
