Presentation

Work up for abdominal pain.

Patient Data

Age: 45 years
Gender: Female

A 60 mm cystic lesion with relatively thick wall is present in the vicinity of lower pole of left kidney which is not organ derived and not related to bowel.

Both kidneys are relatively enlarged and contains several small cysts. Some of them are hyperdense. Additionally, a few tiny stones less than 2 mm are present at kidneys. 

Case Discussion

Features on CT images are most consistent with mesenteric cyst which is a very rare cause of abdominal pain and have a wide range of underlying causes.
