Breathlessness.

Patient Data

Age: 60 years
Gender: Female
x-ray

Two cavitary lesions in right and left mid-zone. A larger, non-cavitary lesion (45 x 40 mm) in the right lower zone. Metastasis from squamous cell carcinoma.

Case Discussion

The patient has a known history of oropharyngeal squamous cell carcinoma (of the floor of the mouth) and these pulmonary opacities represent cavitary metastases.
