Patient Data
There is an avulsed osteochondral fragment from the anterior intercondylar region of tibia. There is no suprapatellar effusion. There is no bone lesion/ dislocation. The femorotibial compartment space is maintained. Genu varus is present.
Case Discussion
This is a relatively old bony avulsion (i.e. non-acute) of the anterior cruciate ligament.
Other avulsion fractures of the knee include posterior cruciate ligament bony avulsion, Segond fracture, reverse Segond fracture, arcuate complex avulsion fracture, biceps femoris avulsion tendon avulsion, iliotibial band avulsion fracture, semimembranosus tendon avulsion fracture, quadriceps tendon avulsion fracture, Sinding-Larsen Johansson Syndrome and Osgood-Schlatter Disease 1.
