Presentation

History of pain and swelling at the right wrist since one hour after he slips and falls from height from 2nd bed, on examination: swelling hotness and tenderness over the dorsal side of the right wrist.

Patient Data

Age: 40 years
Gender: Male
x-ray
  • X-ray shows distal radial fracture with intra-articular extension.
  • Soft tissue swelling is noted dorsally.

Case Discussion

In this case, there is no significant displacement in the fracture fragments, so the treatment is conservative with immobilization in a cast.
