History of old head trauma and surgery.

Age: 40 years old
Gender: Male
ct

Bilateral high frontoparietal parafalcine areas of encephalomalacia, likely sequel of old trauma.

Left high parietal linear fracture line resembling the weapon used (an axe).

Case Discussion

Forensic medicine uses the term signature fracture to describe fracture type which gives information about the weapon used, which in this case was an axe.
