There is expansion of the brainstem by a hypoattenuating mass centered in the pons with associated effacement of the fourth ventricle and prepontine cistern.
Case Discussion
Findings are in keeping with brainstem glioma. Brainstem stem gliomas occurs commonly in the first decade of life. Clinical presentations include ataxia, cranial nerve palsies, long tract signs and hydrocephalus.
