Periportal halo also known as periportal collar sign refers to area of low attenuation around the intrahepatic portal veins on contrast-enhanced CT suggestive for periportal edema. This sign is non-specific and can be seen in various conditions such as acute hepatitiscongestive cardiac failure and lymphadenopathy at the porta hepatis causing lymphatic obstruction.
