Thick walled multiseptate abdominopelvic peritoneal cystic lesions are seen without calcification or enhancing solid components. Some free fluid is also observed.
Case Discussion
The typical appearance of peritoneal hydatidosis usually occurs secondary to the seeding of echinococcosis to the peritoneum and gives the appearance of a multiloculated mass.
The patient underwent surgical resection of the cystic lesions, and histopathology evaluation confirms hydatid infection.
